Here's the scoop...
AOL Broadband coming into an Actiontech DSL modem, then to a Linksys 4 port / Access Point --- A Win98 SE PC is hard wired to the Linksys --- 3 more computers (each is XP Home ED.) are connected wirelessly....
Now, the Win98 SE (hard wired) and 1 XP PC cannot connect to secure web sites. (IE. Hotmail login, Norton Live Update, checkouts when shopping)
I've spoken with Linksys and AOL Tech Support and each of them say it's not a problem with their product.
If I connect the 98SE PC directly into the DSL modem and eliminate the network and Linksys then everything works great on that PC. I can get to any website, secure and unsecure.
I will entertain any advice given but keep in mind, in your replies, I am an IT lvl 3 tech myself. So no need to get to wordy (ie. click start in the lower left, click settings, click control panel)
Just want to save some typing on your end.
