HELP!!!!! 2000 install gone bad

Started a clean install on a drive that had WinME by formatting in Win2000 setup. It is a 3gb partition on a 30gb drive. Changed it to NTFS and installed. Everything seemed to go OK and it said that portion of the install was complete and needed to reboot system. After the reboot, it POSTs and sees my Promise ultra66 card bios and scsi card bios then....black screen. Nothing else. What have I done wrong? Thanks for the help.....I'm having to use this P166 till I can figure something out.....

Well....got past that problem by putting the drive on onboard IDE channel rather than promise card. Got 2000 going and first thing I did was download SP1 and install it. Low and behold, now I get an inaccessible boot device blue screen during startup. Anyone have a cure for this one?

Thanks
