How can i fix this problem.. When i start up windows i can not use the mouse or the keyboard. the screen says it can not find either of them and still boots into windows. is this a cause of a virus?????

Check to see if your keyboard and mouse are plugged into the incorrect ports (which one is which?). By the way, turn the computer off completely before plugging or unplugging PS/2 devices. Hope that helps, welcome to the Forums! 🙂

I tried resetting the bios i swtched the hard drive and the mouse and keyboard work. on the other hard drive i can not use keyboard or mouse.

Interesting. If your other computer has properly-configured, up-to-date antivirus software, you might consider putting your suspicious hard drive in the good computer and give it a thorough antivirus scan there.

Simple way to test things, see if they work in the bios. If they do, then you know you have a software issue for sure.
