LOL, 6 users logged in! Must be all die hard dead ender subscription guys like myself. Man, this is eerie, though I did take the time to look around the ol" ATOT meeting hall, and some of the details are pretty darn interesting.
Did you know that there are Egyptian hieroglyphics etched into the wainscotting? I'll try and see if I can Google up a translation.
The gold filigree on the cornices is a classy touch, I've got to admit. You folks probably never noticed it before, but the eyes in the giant bust of Russ track your movements around the forum room. Weird!
Hey! That life size statue of Geekbabe brandishing a trout has a switch hidden in the back. Hold on a sec, I'm gonna' flip it on. Damn! The whole thing's a demented Pez dispenser. Squeeze the trout, one pops out!
I must say, old as it may be, the rather faded "overclocking rawks" plaque chiseled into a rock hung directly over the clock (which, itself, runs fast) is a slyly self-referential, post-modern masterpiece!
Empty as this place is right now, the smell of sweat and cheap cologne hangs like a DOS diehard clinging to the command line.
OK, I hit "I'm Feeling Lucky" and the Google result for those hieroglyphics is:
All your base are belong to . . . Russ?
Where is that guy anyway? I miss him.
