how did you get Pb poisoning?
It wasn't from welding, soldering or anything like that, but it was from some ceramic dinner ware, specifically ceramic coffee mugs, from the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico I purchased while on a trip there about 10 years ago. I had everything tested at the house after I was finally diagnosed back in January this year after being sick for awhile. Water was ok, ground was ok, paint was ok, but I hadn't been chewing on the paint or eating dirt anyways....unless I was doing while I was asleep. It ended up being in the glaze in that dang dinner ware at 100,000 ppm, and after 10 years of drinking from 'em, I had a blood lead level of 108 µg/dL....supposed to be under 10 µg/dL. Fortunately, I was the only one drinking out of 'em so none of my friends or family got poisoned.
