I was going to post the exact same topic but found yours so didn't have to. I use windows xp and windows 7 because I have 2 computers but if you ask me which out of the two I prefer then it would have to be windows xp. I keep meaning to try out Ubuntu because it looks very interesting.

I have win98 in an old machine and i still use it to play my old games that hmm are 16bit and some others than do not run at xp.
i have used xp since with 98 i could no longer get online. browser was too old. then i bought winxp x64 to see how is the 64bit windows

so far i see win7 and win Xp to be the majority of the oses from the windows side.
