I'm planning a trip for my family. We're looking into hotels in Cape Cod. The main purpose is to relax and recuperate so we don't need fancy attractions. Just somewhere calm and rejuvenating would be nice.

Anyone have any experience with Cape Cod? Any specific hotels? We're looking at 4 days and 3 nights.

What are some good hotel finders online?

Mmm...haven't been there for about 10 years. I think it's time to go back. :D

Are you from New England?

Yes, the drive will be short. About an hour or two. Let me ask more specific questions then:

1. What is the most beautiful and CALM place in Cape Cod?
2. Do any of you have a specific experience with particular hotels that you would like to discuss?

i just spent the last 3 hours booking a 1 week vacation for my family and my In-laws. 9 of us. we will start in Washington DC, then we will fly out of Baltimore, MD to Buffalo, NY. spend a night a the Marriot at Niagra Falls (overlooking the falls) then go to Toroonto for the day and the next night spend the night at Residence Inn.

the whole trip for less than $3000.00.

how did i do it? i booked most of it thru Triple A. AAA has good pricing.

i've always preferred the truro area. it's a ways out but not as far as provincetown. the bay side is calmer than the ocean side.

Call a travel agent... I booked through one for my honeymoon and they were able to find the same best deal on airfare that I found and got my new wife and I a free two class upgrade at the all inclusive we stayed at.

It is worth a shot and there is normally no fee... if there is go back to book it yourself.

if i tell you.. you would want to throw rocks at me.

I am currently a vacation ownership counsler for fairfieled resorts. my girlfriend and i use my work to travel and pay about $189/week anywhere in the world. plus the program i use i dont have to pay for airline tickets.

go through cheaptickets/orbitz etc.. you can find some good deals through there or find a buddy/family member that might want to give you their week or their points from their timeshare.. its not what you know.. but who you know. =)

I used to go to Dennisport beach every year. We always rented a small summer home or cabin. It was some of the best times I ever had. Anyways, my parents live in the cape now and I visit them often, so I get to explore all sorts of places there. I think in the summer, anywhere in Cape Cod is beautiful and fun.
