Geez guys. With any annoying male, it turns into "STOP POSTING or "ban!". With the gals it's "let's start a thread and insult her looks. Not that male posters don't get threads started about them when they're high profile annoying, but they're not usually called attention whore or hated on quite the same way.

I am saddened by the incredible disrespect shown to Tuffgirl by posting all those pic links. Yes her other thread was kinda attention-whoring but it is clear she didn't want pics flying around the internet.

Perhaps. However, on a similar note, after this past weekend, with two BBQs, and a few nights of drinking heavy alcohol, my gut looks noticeably bigger than usual. The point being, I HIGHLY doubt any webcam shots are photoshopped, so it's just the general nature of being a normal person in front of a medium that can and will exaggerate or capture someone when they're not at their best.

True...but there was also a tactical error on her part...perhaps the best idea then...wasn't to call out attention to that fact...you know if you've got $50 lying on the ground on 1st and 2nd street...you might not want to shout out to everyone "DON'T TAKE MY $50 LYING OUT ON THE GROUND ON 1st and 2nd STREET!!" Just a thought...that's all...

i agree. she is the one that brought it upon herself. i saw her thread(s), i clicked, and i thought to myself big mistake on her part. for the love of god, this is ATOT not some private message board.

 

I know what you mean Pip Boy. And I hope she takes no offence to it. I had no intent for it to fly off to other threads. At the same time, this is a special case since I've hardly ever seen any females getting this much ridicule or jest after she made a thread or posted. So I really don't know. It might just be jokes 'cuz the guys are very bored and the forum topics are slow today.

I am trusting that Tuffgirl won't have a problem with it, since she's said she could handle the guys and their comments.

I disagree! Eakers looked exactly the same on the face. What I do agree is that her weight was different. She looked slender in her webcam pics but here she looked fleshy. It could be too 'cuz her webcam pics just contained her face and hardly any of a full shot or close to it (I just remember one pic that showed more than her face). And frankly, it isn't her problem if you guys were deceived by her appearance. She shared a pic and you chose to interpret it as you did.

I'm not an Eakers fan. I don't talk to her, I don't drool over her pics, I don't hunt down her posts/threads. I just think its pretty rude to insult someone's appearances on a public forum, especially if that person is an active member. Slim or not, shes still a human being.:disgust:

I think it's kind of cool when people take the time to share pics of themselves with us all,it adds something to the virtual experience when you can match a face with user name's you interact with regularly.It's really sad to see all the hurtful comments directed at Karen and Eakers in this thread isn't there enough misery in real time life? Why take all the joy out of the harmless fun of posting pics?

Guys who constantly draw the attention to themselves are usually shot down too, and sometimes people start asking for bans. The last doesn't happen much with girls, but if they keep posting 'please-comment-on-my-looks' threads they should not be surprised if people do that.
Please also note that she isn't the one complaining about the remarks, the only people whining about what is said are the guys who hope they're going to get laid one day.

And at least eakers can still show herself here without being shot down, something which for example luvya can't

It's funny esp. on the dating sites/young adult forums I was around a lot last year...someone would post a thread talking about how they aren't just a piece of meat/eye candy/etc and they how they can't reply to everyone since they have sooooo many emails to go through

I'd show up at the functions and always leave with / spend the night dancing with someone.

The funniest of the 'typical' emails I did get when I had my picture up with personal ads was "Who/What do you think you are?" "Oh aren't we the pompous one?" "You aren't that good looking" etc...

A lot of jealous people out there, but also alot of dreamers.
