Oo thats cool. though ur right. i dont really care much for crazy grpahics just enough to play HAlf-life 2 , CS,CS:S,and that stuff.
The main things i really want my computer to do it to be very fast. and i would like 10,000 RPM drivers. 2 drivers. and 1 GIG of RAm.

Could u guys make a list for me including 1 gig ram, 2 drives with 10,000 rpm, good speakers, and have a AMD athlon go upp to 3 GHZ or around there. Oh and WAt speaker system would u guys approve of that cheap and very good.

I already have 21" LCD monitor. Though i need a new mouse and keyborad what do u guys also approve of a keyboard and mouse i kinda want a wire less because i feel better when a mouse is heavy with its batteries. Its more comfortable for me idk why.
o and when you guys are making me a list of parts for my comp if ur not to busy could u guys get links to the page with that specific part?. TY
TYTYTYTYTYTYTY :thumbsup::gift:

Is this about a gaming system or finding what everyone like so you can be 'cool'.

Yes, YOyoYOhowsDAjello, I'm an asshat.

I thought acrilic cases were cool for about a week. (this was a few years ago)

I'm very glad I didn't get one. I have a sidepanel on my case and it's tough enough to keep that looking decently clean ;)

If I had my choice of cases now, I'd be looking into Lian-Li.

Something like a PC65

Oh, and as for the wavemaster with a window, I know there aren't the same, but they're close:

Thermaltake VA3000

Thermaltake Soprano

Hey, don't waste your money on the absolute NEWEST components. What I mean is that you don't need to buy a $900 CPU when you only need to spend around half of that. Newer components have a HUGE markup. Take it down a notch or two and save your dad hundreds of dollars. Even if you change your mind, you can wait a few months and buy that same CPU at half the price and use it to build another computer for your sister or something. Then you'll get more practice with computers. Go ahead and splurge on stuff like a nice case or lights if that floats your boat. You'll have more fun that way too.

Beware of some of the suggestions...for example, you don't need two dvd burners :disgust:

edit: and don't forget to find a nice desk setup for your new rig. Also go find a keyboard and mouse you're comfortable using (check them out in a store) and a pair of headphones for late night gaming.

It sounds like you don't have much experience with this.. so my advice is (as iterated by others), don't start with with the absolute top-end even you can afford it. Part of the fun of building your own computer is researching each and every component carefully, and you will find yourself learning a lot about what you are building. Get someone experienced beside you while you are building it (or do it really slowly by posting here for help)..

Just so that you don't regret anything down the road, post and wait for our greenlight BEFORE purchasing!

and oh, all the cool kids overclock because it's fun and performace++ :p:D

Get the DFI SLI board, it's the best way to save money in the long run. Get good RAM, I think you are. If you have the money, get a 3500 or 3800. If you don't need the best graphics, 2 6600GTs will give extremely good performance, and not cost as much as a 6800 Ultra. Pick your own case- people can say this or that case is better for gaming, but any case that looks good, has at least (5) 3.5 and (4) 5.25 bays, has at least (2) 120mm fans, and supports ATX(duh), and looks good, and that you like the look of, will be good. So in other words, there are plenty of good cases, and you pick what you want. Make sure you overclock safely, because it sounds like you will have a lot of expensive hardware on there. I would also recommend either (2) 10k Raptors, or (2) Maxtor SATAs w/8mb cache. If you have the money and the space and the mobo(DFI SLI-DR), you could get like (4) 200g hds and put them in RAID 5 for the ultimate in reliability and performance. Good luck.

The mobo will come with a drive cable or 2.
The cd/dvd should come with sound cable

The psu should come with all the cables it requires [snigger]
what cables are you thinking you might need?

The case and/or the psu should come with power cable.
mouse/kb/monitor - should have cables

Just see what comes, and if there is anything missing, go get it boy
