Hi,
I recently setup a network in my home. I used a router and got the internet connection split just fine. My problem is one computer is running Windows 95 and one computer is running Windows98, I installed File and printer sharing but can't seem to get it to work. I can see the drive of each computer in network neighborhood, but when on one computer I can't see the drives on the other computer. Like on compA I can see CompA's drive and CompB I can see CompB's drive but not a-b or b-a any suggestions of what could be going wrong? Please E-mail me with suggestions.e-mail THANK YOU!

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Can you give use any more info? IE, what IP and subnet are each computer set to? Are you using a router/switch combo?

I think your IP settings are correct since you can share your internet alight. I am really stating the obvious here but you do have to share your drive / folder before you can see the other's machine's "shared" drives / folder in network neighborhood.

Yes I know the files are shared, The ips are correct. Also the subnets are the same. Thats why I can figure out why they wont see eachother.

In the Network Control Panel, check the WORKGROUP name on the Identification Tab. This must be exactly the same on both machines for them to see each other.
