He's from China so I think it's BLOODY FINE to call him a Chinaman, becuase he is. Just like I am an Englishman.

You are assuming that this man lives in America. I don't believe he does, so he wouldn't be considered an Asian-American. Since he is a man living in China (I assume), it is not wrong, IMO, to call him a Chinese man. No one has called him a Chinaman though.
