Glad you made it there ok! Would love to see some photos of the area!

I'll hav pics in a few days. Anything specific you wanna see?

My co-worker told me that when She lived in Isreal, there were old men on Mt. Sinai that threw rocks at people driving cars on the Sabbath...I'd love to see that. Dunno how far away Mt. Sinai is from Jerusalem.

Meh I wouldn't be proud of it.
Hate the guy, unfortunatly, it seems that he's going to be the next PM.

Well, never mind P&N, you need any tips on good (although non-kosher) restaurants?

Very far. There are people that do that in Jerusalem too.

LOL, I know that place well, but it's not nearl the best pizza in Israel.
Pizza Bar-Ilan in J'lem is better than that.

Yeah, but since most streets in religious neighborhoods are closed on Shabbt, it doesn't happen too often.

umm, don't mean to make you feel stupid, but Mt. Sinai is in the Sinai peninsula.

yo. finally we left school for a two week break. ahh bliss.

You call this bliss? It's hot as hell! 🙂

You missed out on July...now that was hell 🙂

it was really hot in july but unfortuantly, the stupid hezbollah kept us in most of the time. today is unusually hot but lately, it's been getting a lot nicer. i do live in a place that's about 200M above sea level and i get the best wind from the ocean. my room faces west. it's very nice here and sometimes, i'm quite cold. i assumed that since jerusalem is high, it would be nice. maybe not.

Jerusalem may be nice, but harim saviv lah, it's surrounded by mountains, which keep the heat in. It's like a hamsin since I'm here.

It's still much better than Tel aviv.

How about pics of any latest new archeological discoveries?

Are you a dual citizen? Are you likely to get drafted into military service there?

So what's the deal with kibbutz's? I visited a seemingly successful one outside Tel Avi but never hear muich about them. The basic concept of communal living interests me in general.

New archeological sites are not generally open to the public.
I already served in the military here.
I have never lived on a kibbutz, so my information on them is limited.

I'm in the North now. Rented a car and drove up.
Man, it was windy at the Kinneret (Sea of galilee) earlier today.

yeah it was. it is finally starting to get a bit colder. it is supposed to rain this week. a very nice thing to see (assuming you can wake up at time) is to see the sunrise from the meyron and/or hermon mountains. it is really really beautiful.

I am confused, I thought you were in Israel just a few months ago,
or have you moved from NY/NJ to Israel, permanent?

Have a nice time, and God Bless.

If you go to the "wailing wall" say a prayer for me.

I come here as often as I can, no place else like it in the world.
I still live in NJ, I'm here for 3 weeks vacation.
I was at the wailing wall numerous times already, I'll be back there.

I was in Metula, saw some Hezbolla guys through the border fence. No kidding.
Have plenty of pics, will post them at some time. Ridiculously slow upload speed here.
