Hello Fall

moshquerade

No Lifer
September 23, autumnal equinox or fall solstice...it's going to be 50 - 50 today.

"This is the moment when day (light) is equal to night (dark)
and balance is created between them."

Here, in the dawn hours of the morning, the mushroomy smell of leaves exhaling their final breath wafts into the room. I make the trek to the goats to coax them in giving up milk, armed with a light and my senses to not be eaten by wild creatures of the night. Soon, the four-wheeled creatures of the road will come and consume the rats from their homes, to spit them out later into concrete buildings, like a mother bird feeding its young. And life persists, wild, and untamed.

And a happy fall to you. Enjoy this balanced day.
Same to you!

Someone is a writer. 🙂

Composed any works that have been published or have tried to get published?

If you've ever read online or marketing content for almost any MS server product, I've had a hand in it one way or another. All the womenfolk love it. Ooh baby, tell me more about agile computing, they say 😛

Then I tell them... Oh yeah!? I've got your agile computing right here, and point them to the appropriate Web site. It's scandalous.

ahhh, fall.

i remember when i was much younger, raking up the leaves into a big pile, and jumping in and then just lying there, listening to the leaves crackle and pop. It was like a zen moment really. being still in the leaves, the chill in the air hinting of winter snow to come, the smell of leaves and earth and a clear sky. good times, good times. i miss you, Fall!!!!!

you can still do that. 😉

im sure a lot of people here feel the same. 😉
i just don't. i grew up in the heartland, and i honestly miss fall and winter time.

We spent the last 10 years in or near DC... couple years ago is when the area got about 5 feet of snow in two storms over the course of two weeks. Just happy to never do that again.

That said, watching the leaves change in the Fall/cherry blossoms in the Spring was always a favorite. Now I'll just have to suck it up and enjoy fishing year round.
