if u can train yourself to get up in the middle of the night and take a few swigs of gatorade or water, you will feel much better in the morning. I went through this a few months ago, but it eventually passed and I sleep through the night fairly well now.

How did you train yourself? I don't get to sleep easy, but once I do I might as well be comatose.

not gatorade unless you want to gain weight.

Wha? A glass of Gatorade is like 80 calories.

something about unprocessed energy from power drinks converts to fat if not used. they are only supposed to be used during physical activities, not for quenching thirst.

These drinks contain carbohydrates (sugar), which can provide an immediate source of energy at a time when the body's stores are becoming depleted.

No doctor here but If I'd have to hazard a guess I'd say it's the meds dehydrating you. I too am on anti depression/anxiety meds and while I don't find myself waking up parched that much I do find myself drinking a lot at work.

How about quit antidepression pills and start working out? That should make you more tired so you would fall to sleep easier, and also will help against depression. Unless you are already doing that..

Also, how often do you shower? Hot showers always make me dehydrated.

Unless he actually needs the antidepressant pills to begin with! Trust someone who takes them not everyone who takes them doesn't need them!

Clear piss is a sign that you are properly hydrated. If your piss is always yellow, and the darker the yellow the worse it is, then it's a sign that you might be dehydrated.

I take a prescription sleeping pill each night to deal with my lifelong insomnia, and it leaves me with a very dry mouth most mornings. I find this especially true if I drink any coffee the day before.

I'd say it's the combination of crappy diet and the meds in all honesty. You could try a humidifier in your bedroom.

Also, breath through your nose, not your mouth. mouthbreathers a constantly dehydrated.

The reason for your sleep difficulty is you aren't on a consistent schedule. Go to bed EVERY NIGHT at the same time. I don't care if you're tired or not, go to bed and go to sleep.

It's an indication you are well hydrated. The deeper yellow means you need more water in your system. Another test is the skin pinch method, but that works best in extreme circumstances.
