I'm new to all this. And I don't know as much about computers as most of you here do. So I just serached around where to ask.

I'm upgrading my comouter this summer for gaming piece by piece. I already know I'm getting new RAM tom.

Just curious if this video card will work with my current motherboard.

Card: ATI Radeon X700 256MB PCI-Express

Motherboard: ASUS A7N8X-Ehttp://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socketa/a7n8x-e-d/overview.htm

The only reason I'm asking is because that motherboard is new because of warranty. (The power button on my Box got stuck down, and everything burnt up.)

Anyway this summer, I'll buy A better processor which will mean a new mobo. But for the time being: this is what I have

1.25 Gb of Crucial PC3200 (400) DDR RAM
80 GB hard drive don't really know the stats.
ATI Radeon 9600 (maybe a pro, i think it is)
AMD Athlon XP 3000+
A7N8X-E Deluxe

Thanks, and is there a website where I can mix and match to check compatability?

Welcome here!

Well it's quite simple: Does your mainboard have a PCIE 16x slot? Yes or no? Quite obviously it doesn't - so no PCIE graphics card here. You need AGP.

Awesome, that was my guess. I wasn't sure. Thanks.
