I think you're on the right track if you're thinking about writing about cloning. It's a hot topic with many moral issues. It has the potential to be abused or used for a common good in the medical field.

Seriously, though, do you want computer-related topics? What about a comparison of the different kinds of printing technologies (dot-matrix, daisy-wheel, inkjet, laser)? Or the problem of disposing of old computers and monitors since there are now huge numbers of those items being dumped due to upgrades?

Or are you interested in non-computer topics?

Here is a very interesting and heated topic - Taking human blastocysts(pre-fetal cells) that have been aborted by pregnant women and then using them in medical procedures such as helping those with AIDS and assistance in spinal tissue regeneration.
