Hell On Wheels season 4

SAWYER

Lifer
I just read that this debuted this past Sunday, this show is really good. Who is watching?

I was busy watching Larry Crown... So I half-assed watched the 11:30 pm repeat.

It's okay. Not as good as last season's 2 hour premiere. Nothing else is on Saturday, anyway.

I watched the first episode perhaps even the second one of Season 1. Somehow I didn't get it. Is it worth watching ?

Well to be precise, the bear didn't actually eat him. He had a "fight" with a bear and the last shot was him laying there, covered in blood and Eva says she "felt his spirit pass". So, he'll probably show up in episode 2 or 3.

That season with the Elam and the baby was hard to watch. He turned into such a dumb character. The Mormons were no joke though. It seems like the series gets a little worse with each season, but there are enough good moments to keep you watching.

I'd have to agree with you entirely. I've liked the show less and less as each season comes along, but I still keep watching. I guess as long as Cullen and the Swede are in it, I'll probably continue to watch.

Anyone catch last night's episode? Pretty shocking. The one from last week was probably the weaekest episode of the series but overall I do like the season, it's diminished but still a good watch.

I saw it. Didn't expect the ending.
I really liked Elam. I didn't think he was dead. Last week was cool having him back even though he was more than a little fucked up. They (the writers) could have allowed him to pull out of it, although I guess it's good drama 🙁

I agree the first few seasons were better, but I still like it. I love westerns.

I watched the first season on Netflix, thought it was great. I love Colm Meany and that big dork from Sweden or Norway or whatever. The show is really well done but at that time S1 was all they had. So recently they got a couple more seasons and I am re-watching S1 before starting on those.

Read an article last night after the episode that said...

Common wanted to focus on his music. The show films during spring and summer, which is prime touring/concert season. So, it was Common who wanted out at the end of last season.

He's a good character. Sucks to see him leave. I really thought he'd pull through somehow. The stabbing was shocking enough, totally did not see it coming when Bohannon put him down for good.

P.S. Where the hell did Ruth go?

Just watched this week's episode (I DVR'd it) and...well...I thought it was fucking stupid.

What was the point in spending an entire episode focusing on Elam and his "recovery" only to spend most of another episode on him...then kill him. If Common wanted off the show, they should have finished it with him being killed by the bear and his body discovered by someone that knew him.

Ruth is in the preview for next week's episode...so she's still there. Apparently didn't have enough time to put her in the last two worthless episodes.

So the show is on hiatus until the beginning of November? That's weird. Has AMC done that with any other shows? Not that I can think of.

I like how dark season 4 has been, really how dark the whole series has been.
Elam/Common will be missed, the guy clearly has a lot of talent as an actor.

Wil lbe interesting to see how it continues when it continues

Ya, I think I heard November 8 for when the next episode is.

Great season so far. LOVED the last scene in the latest episode and great outfit to do it in.
