This is exactly why Bush isn't releasing these people. He fears the public backlash over mistreatment of innocent people. Held two years without a charge, then released? Sounds Kafkaesque....
Why aren't the liberal media all over this story?

Because even the liberal media is intelligent enough to recognize this grade of BS when they see it.

Well, true, nobody here can say with absolute certainty it's true or false. However, based on all the evidence I have at my disposal, IMO it's horsesh*t.
How's that?![]()

If Bush isn't re-elected, I have a feeling we will find out very quickly after January 20, 2004.
Also, as they release people, expect to see more of these kinds of stories. And what about the military guys who are pulling these stunts? Some of them will start talking pretty soon and it won't be pretty. This happens in every war. We always have a few people who go nuts, and I'll bet the commander of that base is under intense pressure from the Pentagon! You know he is walking a very fine line-on the wrong side of the fence in my view.

The article said "vice girls" were used to torment the most religiously devout detainees, who had not seen "unveiled" women.
The water and food was foul, and sometimes as punishment, water taps in the cells would be turned off, he said in the interview published Friday.
Dergoul described "botched medical treatment, interrogation at gunpoint, beatings and inhuman conditions" and condemned the American and British governments, Christian said.
Medical treatment was sparse and brutal and amputations of limbs were more drastic than required, claimed Jamal.
Prisoners who had never seen an "unveiled" woman before would be forced to watch as the hookers touched their own naked bodies.
HE added: "The man in the cell next to me had frostbite in two fingers and two toes. He also had it in his big toe, but they didn't treat that for a year by which time they had to cut off much more than was needed.
The men would return distraught. One said an American girl had smeared menstrual blood across his face in an act of humiliation.
