Imagine a world where these forums do get shut down.

Grumpy old men stumbling out of the basement. Hugging their wife and their great great great grandchildren. Sipping a nice cup of coffee while looking at the morning sunrise. Wiping their eyes as they see the sun for the first time in months. Saying to themselves, "This is the first day of the rest of my life". Just think about how joyously profound that would be.

MODS - I started this thread, I'm in the middle of this fucking mess, as I have lived in Asheville all my life, over 7 decades, except for my time in Uncle Sam's Canoe club.

I was a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years in this community, my daughter was a volunteer firefighter/EMT for 10 years, my grandsons started as volunteer firefighters, and one is a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic/Swift Water Technician, the other is a part-time Firefighter/EMT, and a full-time Deputy Sheriff, and I worry about their mental health after this event.
I went through similar in 2004, before I hung up my helmet, when Hurricane Ivan hit the area.

The assholes and lowlifes are bubbling to the top in real life here, and in this thread.

Fucking lock it!

And fuck the few assholes that choose to show what a disgusting person they are to the core.
