Heisman Discussion

I'd like to get a discussion going on the current Heisman race. There are a bunch of great players out there right now and the field is wide open due to how much football is left in the year.

one of the front runners, and my favorite, is Manti Te'o. The guy has great numbers, which I'll provide in a minute, and is the obvious leader of the stellar ND defense this year.

Tackles:
solo - 39
assist - 41

tackles for loss - 4.5
sacks - 1
INT - 5
fumble recovery - 2

the guy is a beast beyond a doubt. however, there are other candidates out there, K-state QB, that could easily win too. Who is your favorite and why should they win?

Oregon's Barner and Mariota should get a mention in my opinion. Their numbers are not that high because they've been blowing teams out by the end of the first quarter.

I stand by my opinion. Barner torched USC last week.

If Barner played in the second half of games, he'd be the runaway winner.

Only thing about Te'o is he is a defensive player... only 1 defensve player in the history of the Heisman.

McCarron, that final series against LSU was money. It will go down as the drive of the year.

Hate this argument. If you suck the first 3 quarters and then make a good play in the 4th, how are you a Heisman candidate?

A Heisman should be the MVP of his team. You can stick the top 50 quarterbacks in the country in the Alabama team and they'd still win 10+ games.

Marqise Lee has been an absolute beast the last few weeks. Every time I see him, he's making a defense look awful. Barner's been great as well, but I'm an Oregon homer, so I'm partial to him to begin with.

Te'o played like shit last week. hopefully he can turn it around. I think that Klein should get it after last week. Klein could injure himself out of the running.
