OK so I bought my first one of these last night, and I couldn't get it to pour a decent beer. Every single one was 3/4 or more head. I tried pouring slow, fast, in the middle, down the side of the glass, straight in, everything.

I'm about to go pick up another one, and I was wondering if any of you knew how to get a decent beer out of it.

It is more expensive than just buying the bottles for the same quantity, and while it would be nice to pour a perfect beer, I'm not sure it's worth it at home.

It's $15 at Costco. And we calculated that it was 10% cheaper or something than the bottles.

QFT.

I try to do that with any keg, mini or no.

Yeah I think I didn't let it sit long enough.

As far as being really expensive, it's $17 here, which is quite a bit cheaper than buying it in sixers.

Mini kegs are great for the boat. They float in the water and are a blast. I had never done a "beer mile" in the water before.

yeah...I drank 3/4 of one of those at a party once (which I don't recommend). I didn't have the problem you had...did you try pouring at an angle?

Yeah I did the angle. This was at a party too... Now that I think about it, the mini was getting moved around a lot (I was using it to fill my beer pong cups with :D) so that could explain the lots of foam.

I ended up not buying the Heine tonight... got some good local Oktoberfest beer instead :D

Bars usually serve beers at 34 F. So its about 40F when it's in a glass.

My buddy just got one a couple weeks ago. His also poured quite a bit of foam but if I was careful and poured slowly at an angle it went pretty well.
