Hehehe, MS Office 2013 is technically not out yet - and I have it for $10

have Office 2000 on my PC

built my own PC and that's what I have available

also have LibreOffice installed when I need to make use of something that Office 2000 is not capable of but I mostly use Office 2000 since I'm used to it

I got it from school and installed it. I think the UI is awful a step backwards. It's just so plain. Everything is flat white, no color, no shading, nothing, the text in the ribbon that is all in caps also looked very jagged, and the icons for the files associated with office files like doc look like something from windows 95.

For the record I am using windows 8 and don't mind the simplistic design, but office 2013 just has no design.

It doesn't have to be pure white.

You get the glorious options of Light Gray and Dark Gray. All the color choices you could possibly need, in other words.


Personally, I like the minimalist approach. But they could have achieved the minimal design with a few different touches here and there. I like how much easier it is to get most UI elements out of the picture when maximized, and give maximum screen space to the content.

Because clicking buttons like a monkey is learning, right? If someone can't seamlessly switch between any similar application set, they should go to the doctor to get their lobotomy finished. They aren't fit to make it through the world.

Working with GIMP after using Photoshop is not as easy as you make it sound.

Office 2010 does everything I need it to, so I don't really need to upgrade.
