we seen it when it was like $80 new. I said i wanted one but no way was i going to spend that much.

well over time it dropped down in price. She went to Wal-mart to get some dish detergent and odds and ends. Well she went to the toy department and seen it!

it was marked down to $35 and they had maybe 5 left. so she grabbed it knowing i wanted it.

this thing is huge! its like 10 inches tall and stands on a base that is 3 inches tall. heh

A plastic Optimus Prime... how sad. Back in the day when I had an Optimus Prime it was made of metal. Yeah, thats right, Metal! Sure there was that slim chance of cutting yourself on it, but you know what? We loved it! You know why? Metal, that's why! None of that namby pamby plastic you kids are crazy for now-a-days.

If I came across as having my post sound like I speaking from experiences from many many decades ago then I accept full responsibility for making a fantastic post.

So, when are you going to transform it and take pics? You're not one of those tools who just leaves it in the original packaging and resells it on eBay 10 years later, are ya?

I seen that Optimus Prime over in the Hot Deals section. When I seen it I said man I remember when I seen that show on tv!

I got the Japanese version 2 years ago. It was made of both plastic and die-cast metal, as well as having longer smoke stacks.

They re-released this toy recently in Japan, but with a trailer this time.

For those not in the know, here's the
Masterpiece Starscream (unfortunately, unlike Prime, he is all plastic) http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/prod...duct=TAK10557&mode=retail&picture=aux2
and
Masterpiece Megatron (pre-production model without painting on the toy yet) http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&album=6907&dispsize=800&start=0

from the same toyline (in Japan)
