Have you guys seen the previews for that movie "Legally Blonde"? Its about a ditzy, self centered blonde who goes to Harvard to win for boyfriend back. To think most of the people that go or went there worked hard and all they really had to do was be selfish and stupid. The best part is that it is a reshoot of a movie that came out a few years ago.

I think the fact that G.W. Bush got a degree from there hurts their credibility more than any movie.

Supposedly it sucks to work there. No matter what research history you have, they wont give you assosiate or full professorship, they think you should be honored to even have a position there, and as such, getting a decent salary or position is not necessary.

Wasn't Bush a Yale-ite?

Or perhaps it was a honorary degree from Harvard?

"George W. Bush was born July 6, 1946, and grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas. He received a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. "

My dad got his Masters in Bus. Ad. from DePaul. It would've been too hard for him to go to the University of Chicago and work where he did.

I just thought of a few people from hollywood that go there: Natalie Portman, Tatyana Ali, and Matt Damon(who dropped out because of what the pay people that work there)

I've got use to you posted something sarcastic about 'W' in every post, RD...but at least do your homework before spouting off with your liberal mouth ;)

Hell, I got accepted to Harvard, but I just didn't have the financial means to attend. No biggie, I have a fantastic education anyhow. :D

Not to question your integrity, sir, but while doing a little search on here, it appears you went to Texas A&M and had a 1400 SAT score. I know of 4 people who were accepted to Harvard and while neither had the means to attend, they found the means to attend...they since told me that nearly 100% of the students receive financial aid...

You got accepted with a 1400 SAT score? ...and choose A&M? *puzzled*

Yeah, is that a big problem? The mechanical engineering program at A&M is one of the best in the nation, plus it's a public university in my home state, plus I fell in love with the college when I visited, plus I was given a scholarship to attend. The biggest deal, though, is that I'm only about $25,000 in debt now rather than $125,000 in debt. I also wasn't real thrilled with going to the Northeast for school when I could stay in Texas.

Don't question my choice of college... I don't regret any one thing about it.

PS: If it helps, I have a few "family friends" who put in a good word for me at Harvard. Every little bit helps, right?

I'll have to agree with Urinal Mint on that one even though he's an Aggie and I'm a Longhorn. :) Both Texas A&M and the University of Texas have excellent engineering programs which are ranked much higher than Harvard. For engineering you would be crazy to go to Harvard instead of one of these two other schools.

Maybe he just cared more about his education, heaven forbid, rather than the name of his school.

It's true, T AM has one of the best engineering programs I heard.
Does Harvard even have a engineering college?
