Heh.. Video Game thing on spike.

dells desktop machines are an alright price, but when you start getting to their gaming machines the price tends to rise to something ridiculously over what it should be.

I can't stand shows on gaming, you can tell they are all noobs hosting the show except of course Adam Sessler. You can tell he lives in his parents basement and plays games all day. lol

Who honestly can find a pre-built PC, regardless of use, for cheaper than building it yourself?

Exactly, but their computers are like 500-1000 overpriced.. I would hate to be the sucker to fall for that one. I think alienware is just about the same thing.

a dell gaming machine, o, you mean the $3000 ones with x800 SEs??? you've got to be joking. dont remember who said this, but "you bought an se? they are useless, you would have been better off with a gerbil on a wheel with a vga port"

Sometimes you can, especially when you're on a tight budget. ESPECIALLY if you browse the Hot Deals forum.

agreed.

i take more pride in building something myself, but sometimes u just can't beat the dell deals that pop up every now and then

Hells yeah...

I just built a $1250 newegg WoW machine for a friend who almost spent $3000 on a P4 3.6 alienware! It consisted of an A64 3000+ OCed to 2400 (Tt Silent Boost, AS5), VNF3-250, 1GB DDR500, 6800GT, aluminum case w/ carry strap, 17" LCD w/ DVI and carry strap, 480W PSU, 200GB SATA HDD, DVD+-RW, wireless mouse / kb and XP Home!!! That was 2 weeks ago and he hasn't stopped thanking me for saving him so much dough...

It's funny what consumers will pay for name brands without knowing wtf is going on...
