Heh, slip of the keys by ESPN.com?

While on the topic, NCAA March Madness 06 has a lot of screw ups of this kind. They misused "their" and got the numbering wrong for Kansas State's men's basketball team. I know no one cares, but I had to vent because it angered me.

What a dumbass. I cannot for the life of me understand all these college and pro athletes that either use drugs or get in trouble for assaults, etc.

All they have to do is stay in shape, do their job, (go to school if they are in college) have their choice of fine women, and have pretty much everyone kissing their asses.
Plus the pros are generally pretty rich, too

Then you get idiots like the Vick Brothers, Ricky Williams, TO, Artest, Spreewell, and even college dummies like over 10 football players at
U niversity of
N otorious
C riminals

who get in trouble for assaults, pot, giving STD's to girls, rape, etc.

Just don't understand it. Looks like the pro management would assign handlers to the known dummies to keep them out of trouble, like the Bulls did with that guy who was a friend of Dennis Rodman...can't remember his name, but he was some white guy who otherwise wouldn't have made the NBA...but he was signed by a few teams that Rodman played on because he was the only one who could talk a little bit of sense into him.

Since when is TO a criminal? 😕

Not a criminal, just a complete idiot. Still, he fits into the "can't understand his behavior" portion of my post.

Im fricken sick and tired of hearing people bash TO. Sure, he made some poor decisions, but he's not that freaking bad of a guy. Everybody is just jumping on the bandwagon to bash him. He should by no means be in the same category as Artest, Sprewell, or Marcus Vick.

Sorry, the only idiot here is you.

Also, what did Michael Vick do?

The same argument can be applied to anyone anyways. All you have to do in life is go through school, get a good job, and be on good behavior and you'll live a relatively satisfying life. People will be criminals regardless of what they do or who they are. Why should athletes be held to higher standards than anyone else?

How am I an idiot? Because you like TO? A guy who single-handedly has destroyed TWO franchises with his antics?

And what did Michael Vick do? You ever hear of his other name...Ron Mexico? Look it up.
And you say I'M an idiot?

And why should athletes be held to higher standards? Because they are looked up to. Because they are privileged.

Athletes don't have a problem with soaking up all the adoration, nailing all the hot women,
getting paid more than they ever would make in the real world, etc, etc.....the payoff for that is, they need to be held to at least the same standard that everyone else is...you know, obey the law, stuff like that.
