Heel pain....

So I'm 26 and late last summer my heels started to hurt, both of them.

I've gotten 2 cortisone shots on each foot since then, gone to therapy and even got orthotics done.

Nothing has helped.

I weight abou 155lb and although I don't exercise at all, I am rather thin.

Pain get really bad while walking or standing for a long period of time.
I guess no more GA at concerts for me anymore.

Do you have big arches? My father has pains in his heels also. It has something to do with his overly large arches or something.

You might want to go to a pediatrist (sp, foot doctor) maybe you can have insoles fitted for yourself or something.

ZHey, OP. I've had the same problem. Do you find that it hurts even when you haven't been walking on them? Say...in the middle of the night when you get up to go to the bathroom?

If so, consider plantar fasciitis. That's what I have (along with a bone spur-which was already ruled out in your case). Try heelpain.com.

Anyway, that's what it sounds like to me.

Hope you can find your answer soon! 🙂

I do. I have flat feet that cause my calves to hurt, so I have orthodics, and I suspect that the hard base of the orthodics causes my heels to hurt.

I was thinking the same thing and remember not all orthonics are equal.

Wow, when I saw "heel pain," I came into this thread suspecting the usual would be ruled out: bone spurs, etc. My wife has that problem with one of her feet.
