Heckler gets kicked in the stomach by comedian

Your acting like he was a pedestrian just "walking" by when clearly he was close to running directly at the stage screaming obscenities and he had already committed a battery just minutes before. IMO the comedian had a reasonable expectation he was going to be attacked, no one has to wait until they get hit before defending themselves if the situation clearly looks like an assault is imminent.

+1 Heckler had it coming, even if he was drunk or retarded. He rushed the stage after being warned not to put his hands on the comedian again.

Shame on the venue for not kicking that guy out as soon as the trouble started so it couldn't escalate.

Really? What law is there preventing a person from walking towards a stage? Hate to break it to you, but the concept of mind-reading doesn't hold up in court. Unless the comic can somehow convince a jury that he possesses mystical powers to read minds, he had no idea what the heckler would do. The guy was unarmed and walking, nothing more. He was not swinging, he hadn't made a fist.

What world do you live in where you can attack a person for the crime of walking in your direction?

I don't think the comic is going to have any problem on that one man. The guy is a well known nutcase, and in the video he clearly has his arm outstretched. He's going for the comic physically, there's no question. The law doesn't require you to wait until you're injured.

This, and while it seemed some people in the club knew him and considered him harmless, I'm sure the comic did not. If some stranger lays his hands on you while yelling obscenities, then backs off only in the face of a threat, then comes back and charges you while screaming obscenities (and it was a charge, you don't have to be running), you'd be crazy to not consider that a threat.

Don't get me wrong the comic seems like a dick, but in this case he's a correct dick.

Someone who was previously in your face, putting his hands on you, then from across the room starts aggressively walking at you following a verbal altercation?

Yeah, that prick in the tinfoil hat looked like he was going to assault the guy. It was self defense.

Comics don't put up with shit anymore, I was in Foxwoods and Andy Kindler basically stopped his show because someone was repeatably "woot" ing too often. I'm surprised they didn't just kick this dude out from the beginning.

Also he's not a heckler.
Shouting out a (hopefully witty) put down is heckling, getting on stage and right in the comedians face is not heckling and should get you thrown out on your arse.

LOL you are insane. This is a clear cut self defense. A good case to since the comic didn't go overboard.

I don't get heckler's, why go to a comedy show if your not in the mood to laugh? If it's not funny then just sit there and let the comedians make their livelihood

They are trolls. Same as internet trolls, but they get their jollies from "real-life" (aka meatspace) attention whoring by being douches.

So this "well known" heckler basically does not exist on Google outside of this kick video, which coincidentally is the only exposure this comedian has ever received... ya, I'm sure this isn't staged.

That was my guess, too. I googled the "heckler" and got nothing but this video.

Except you know, he walked up to the stage before and put his hands on the guy with the mic? And, he was charging up there again to do the same?

I just wanted to say - Nice kick, bro.

you missed the Kickstarter created the same day the video was released. it's only for $1,000 for a documentary on the guy, not sure if they are connected or not but they have only raised $5 so far.

That was like some 300 shit.

It would have been funnier if someone started laughing really loudly right when he fell to the floor. Too bad the timing was off. Whoever uploaded the video should have added it in post.

well, i watched this yesterday.
i admit the kick is cool. but still wrong.

the heckler is clearly retarded and he wasn't "charging", and noone who can kick like that should feel intimidated by a carcass of a man like that heckler.

so here is a video of a comedian getting attacked and taking it like a boss.
