You gotta be kidding me.

I wonder if they use ice cream scoops to get the rice.

I don't see why mom and pops would worry. I don't think that consumers would see the point in buying these dishes from an American company when right down the street there's a place making it the traditional way and such. There's no way I would ever buy that from McDonald's, especially if I was in HK.

Well, let see, the kids want some burger but the mon wants some rices. Now they both have what they want without going to another drive down the street. :)

McDonalds always has made local dishes, no matter where they are. When I was in Japan, McDonalds has more fish and teriyaki dishes, along with banana shakes, that we can't get in the states. Sure, no chopsticks were served with my mc-meal, but it was different.

Sounds like a good business plan to me. I would try it out if I were there :)

I grew up in Japan with the Teriyaki McBurger and had no idea that they didnt have it here.. needless to say, the cashier was a bit confused when i ordered one one summer when i was visiting here.. he thought it was a joke and i thought he was joking when he said they didnt serve them (gimme a break, i was like 12 years old)... only later on did the revelation hit me, "OMG, they dont server teriyaki burgers in the US!!!" ... and i felt like an idiot...
