HEC HP585DR 585W Orion PSU $19

Holy spit, I believe this is possibly a badass deal.

From reading past archives I think Antec rebadges (or used to) HEC PSU's. 585W Antecs for $20??

Anyone want to buy one and report back? 😛

in for 1, can't be wrong at that price

also add this dvd-rom to your order will lower your shipping cost

LG ELECTRONICS 12X DVD INTERNAL EIDE DRIVE (Refurbished w/15-Day Warranty) : 2.50$

mine came out to be 29.xx $ shipped

I came so close to completing this offer and then I realized that I have absolutly no need for a psu...its that good of a deal.

Product page

There is a thread on this at Hardforum, SJetski71 said this PSU has "1 sata, 6 molex, 1 P4, no pci-e" connectors. "Cables are very short too so you would not be able to use this in a larger case."

Adding that DVD-ROM increased my shipping cost.

I can vouche for the quality of this unit. The internal components are the same as their high end AcePower line. You will just have to live with sleeve bearing fans and fewer/shorter/plain connectors. The split off 20+4 ATX connector is also pretty nice.

Voltages were more solid compared to the Coolermaster RS-450 that is in my system right now.

Got mine and am happy with it. MUCH quieter than my previous 430W supply that came with the clubit $10 case deal...

Its $24 right now... I just ordered one... although it doesnt say how many/type of connectors it has... oh well must be a notch better than my bundled 400w cheapo one that I am running with several Y splitters...

Got one of these a couple of months ago. Quality is definitely nowhere near my Antec 380 watt PS (weighs far less), but so far this thing has been running fine--powering Athon XP-M @ 2.2Ghz, 2GB DDR, HD, DVD-RW, GeForce FX5900se. Nothing super powerful, but so far the PS seems adequate.

3800x2
2 dvd-rws
2 hds
6600 agp
and another for 2 of my case fans...

"Connectors: 6 x 4 pin Molex, 2 x FDD 4 pin connectors, 1 x SATA connector, 1 x4 pin P4 connector, main connector: 20 + 4 (24 pin)"

Thanks a bunch... I ordered one after a long time searching through the 100s that newegg have.

I should have known the connectors because most PSUs that state PCI express or SLI support have 6x4pin molex connectors..

sweet

The Orion I bought replaced an Antec 380 TP 2.0 that toasted on a basic 939 system: HDD, DVD/RW, integrated everything else (video, LAN sound). The Antec last 2 days. I'm not a big fan of Antec (anymore), that's 4 Antec PSU of mine and several for friends over a period of 6 years. Good news for me, mine were all replaced by their 3 year warranty. So maybe I should be a fan. 😉

Oh, oh...buy the way...the Orion PSU is back at Mwave for 24.00 + shipping.

Bought this just before mwave pulled the first deal a couple weeks ago. Voltages are at or near nominal and rock solid (tracking with MBM5). Only drawback is the noise... it sounds like a mini-wind tunnel compared to my old (near silent) Antec SL350 that this replaced. Can't beat the price though.

Have an xp3200+, 4hds, DVDRW and a Radeon 9800 and seems to be doing fine so far.

This is a great PSU I just ordered another one and its still $24.00 + shipping.

Not sure if the FSP 450w @ newegg is a better deal being $10 more...
