Heavy Rain was featured on Gametrailers TV last night. Graphically, it is looking fantastic and the story and some of the features (like playing different characters whose story is removed if died) looks great. Really looking forward to more of this game.

There's one section in the gametrailers video titled "Revolutionary Controls". I don't really see anything revolutionary in the controls though. It is ultimately a story-driven game with Quick Time Events. We've had QTEs since the days of Dragon Lair.

I'm really interested in this game mainly because I'm interested in seeing if Quantic Dream has learned anything from developing Indigo Prophecy. Though I enjoyed the first 3/4 of the game, it just got really f*cking wierd towards the end. But they did a decent job at making the Quicktime Events interesting (although, not near as interested or emotionally effective at the God of War series which I contend is the best at that), I just hope this isnt one huge QTE-fest.

I find it interesting that (apparently) you can kill off every lead/main character in the game and it can still progress. It's an odd premis but would love to find out what that means in terms of gameplay progression.

The controls sound odd. Pressing a trigger button to move forward sounds a little awkward, but I'm game if it makes sense with the control scheme. I love the idea, however, of using the left stick to control head movement (and walking direction) so that you're free from camera restrictions. It's sort of a bold move in an adventure game (or is that action adventure here, not sure).

I love thrillers and the idea of an "origami killer" sounds cool. With the tag line "How far are you prepared to go to save someone you love?" could lead to an interesting delima. I guess what I'm getting at is I hope they allow real decisions--that arnt necessarily grounded in moral value--that effect the game.

I like to play my games, not watch them. Hitting X and Square now and then doesn't make a game fun for me. I watched some of the game trailers stuff and besides moving your charter, it doesn't look like you do much more than hit buttons when they pop up on the screen. If that's how the whole game is, then pass.

I hope the game sucks and dive bombs in sales...just because theres no 360 or PC version...

OK...not really, but still, exclusives suck! Was looking forward to this game for years now its only for PS3...I guess Sony had to do something to increase sales.

The first thing I thought when I saw the topic title was "Sweet, they're making a Bowfinger game".

LOL!! Your second line, you can replace PS3 for 360 and Sony for MS. Sticking it to the 360 guys seems to be happening a lot more lately. Something the 360 guys were bragging for a while till now.

For me, doesn't matter, I have both. Ha!

This game seems really moody and would be a good break for me play from what I normally play. Can't wait for this game.
