Heatware field in Profile *UPDATE* Make a Link in Your Profile!

Maetryx here, 😎

I noticed that I could put some information about my Heatware in my profile. At first I just put my heatware name (Maetryx, same as here) but noticed that it did not provide a link to my Heatware like I had hoped.

So I tried using the special symbols for urls with the brackets. That didn't work.

Finally I used actual html codes with greater than and less than signs. Voila! It works. I now have a link to my heatware on heatware.com in my profile.

But no matter what I put into the field, it doesn't line up with the rest of the information in my profile. Everything else is right justified (sort of) but the Heatware line is left justified.

I also wish that my View Profile window was about 1/2" taller, so people don't have to scrollbar down to see my heatware link.

I wish my reply box was 1 inch wider. I can't see the whole thing and I can't resize it.

TonyH, well, anyone here, I'd suggest using my code to line up the columns of data.

more specifically TonyH, your sig needs fixed. copy/paste this code into your profile should do it:

Hmmm..... I edited it yesterday when I inserted the HeatWare link into my profile because I kept getting an error message that my sig was over the 255 limit. It was working fine then. When I looked at it now it was a jumbled mess of html and ubb code.

cool. I like my own variation better than the html I gave though. 😉

Yep, mine too. I'm on fire, baby!

It's not that hard to figure out.

hmm, looks like this "issue" has been "fixed". thawolfman can't get his to work and I'd rather not try mine again at risk of loosing it.

bummer.

Anyone who has put html in their heatware has had there heatware number removed. Feel free to re-enter it, but we removed anyone that had put html in there.

Oh, great, now we're back to square one.

Jason, honestly, is it that difficult to just make it a link? Then, we won't have to come up with other ways of doing these things.
