Heatware...cant get established if ya dont leave heat:)

I been here alittle while now and spent a bit of time in the FS/FT forum. Ive noticed whenever I wanna do a deal Im expected to have a certain # of Heatware evals. SOME vets around here make ya feel "less than" and ask ya to ship first because ya Heatware isnt good enough for em! So I say O.K I ship first or cross ship...whatever. Now these vets that base how they deal with me on my heatware eval cant even take a few minutes to leave an eval on system that they care so much about before they get what they want🙁.....

Im not pissed enough to post in the FS/T forum ...so Im just venting and hoping this will sooon be different.🙂

Ya know, if you don't want to play by the normal rules you don't have to. If you don't want to deal with them, you don't have to. It's just the accepted practice. When I started I wouldn't put my email address or ship first to those with only a few heat. I did it my way and never had a problem, and there are several folks who took the plunge and ended up getting good deals from me 🙂

But to expidite sales you gotta do it the normal way, or be prepared to wait until someone is willing to buy it. You may have to lower your price or whatever to compensate though...

Yeah...I have NO problem with shipping first to "established" traders. My point was: If yur happy with the deal and base how you deal with people on evals....please take the 30secs of time to leave an eval. I have had about 5 deal with "established" traders that havent left evals. If ya want people around here to get "established" ...ya gotta leave heat 🙂

I don't think that's his problem.. I think he is complaining about why that they don't leave you a heatware after a successful trading/sale

Sorry, just confused you with the average, everyday complaining newbie about not being treated like a king.

All you can do is ask the person to give you heatware. What are you going to do if they don't? Exactly. Give them their heatware, and move on.

FFMCobalt: You have completly missed my point. Thats O.K tho.......

Usually if you just drop them a PM they'll fill one out for you. I had that happen a couple of times, and a polite "hello remember me?" always worked. Especially if I left them a nice eval first. A lot of traders are pretty busy, and even though it really only does take a few minutes tops, they easily forget if they have lots of trades going on. I mean I've seen about a half dozen "PM me if I owe you heatware" posts in the past week.

as for newbie status, from what I've read from posts and rants, 20 positive evals is around the magic number to get "promoted" IMO.

Why give them theirs then? This has happened to me quite a bit. I got burned for a long time on this. the first 10 - 15 trades I did, I had to ship/pay first, and quite a few people with 70+ heatwares DEMANDED that I leave heat for them. What did I get in return? NOTHING, I even had one guy threaten me to leave me a bad one, after 3 weeks I hadn't left one because he hadn't left me one. I have been scolded, ridiculed, and belittled for not having enough heatware (still only got 25 or so). It dosen't even matter any more, 75+ trades and only 25 heatwares, oh well, I just gave up. I tried to make it a requirement of the deal to leave me heatware, considering not leaving me one as an unfinished trade, but that plan wasn't liked by some with more evals. :|
I alsways leave 'em on deals still, and don't even care if I get 'em anymore. It just seems that some people with 50 & Upwards seem to have a superiority complex. I think that I personally have been a damm good trader to date. I've a had a couple of boo-boos, and covered my butt pretty well to make up for it. I've helped plenty of newbies get their heats started up, and glad to do so after a great trade! It's only fair!
I recently asked one guy to leave me a heatware, (I sold him a decent amount of stuff), he was registered, but had none. He told me that he never sells or buys stuff online, so he wouldn't bother, but could I leave him one? Hell no!! you can't take 1 minute out of your busy day, but I can. NO THANKS!!!

But then again, what do I know?? 😉

begin rant:
This is definitely something that irks me severely. I've been doing deals on these forums for almost a year, and I've got about 25 evals to show for it, but when comparing that to the over 40 deals I've done it just doesn't seem right. I always leave heatware and I always ask either via email or PM for the other person to leave me an eval under my name. What bugs me the most is when people are all "Ok I'll leave you heatware tonight" and then you never hear from them again...UNGH:| Frustrates me...
end rant.
