Is it necessary for there to be a heatsink on the via133a northbridge? The reason I ask is because I have an epox 6vba2 which doesn't have one and I am trying for 150mhz bus, but I get kicked out of quake3 every so often with an illegal opperation. I run rc5 all day without any problems though. The chip doesn't ever feel very warm. Thank you.

Conventional wisdom is that the Via 133A north bridge runs much cooler than it's 440BX counterpart. It doesn't require extra cooling.
