Heatsink for 2500+?

Whats the best heatsink for the amd xp 2500+ processor... I want to be able to overclock it so that the fsb is at least 200mhz without having to really worry about heat...
EDIT: Oh and the board I will be using is the Abit NF7-S

I love how people automatically jump at SLK's. Did we ever consider that probably 60% of AMD boards don't have the 4 mounting holes??

Save the hassle of having to return it upon the inspection of your board not having the holes and get a Vantec Aeroflow or OCZ Gladiator 3

I have been studying this same problem for my next build. I have decided that it is going to be water cooling. Air cannot compete. The very best air cooler is going to perform only with the noise that accompanies fans. I am going to start looking for the parts I can pick up on local economy like a heater core, fittings, pump etc. I am thinking about a giant heater core that won't even need a fan.

If I were going to buy and air cooler, it would be Thermalright. There is a new ALCU hybrid ALX1800. It looks like the SL900 but is aluminum with a copper core.

indeed but once you put on a panaflo, the noise wont be bad at all and the temps will be similar to the water setup. most people will put up with the minimal amount of noise esp since installation/maintainance is easier and slk900/fan costs all but $25

Hey thanks for pointing that out shady that it doesn't need to be mounted as now I may grab one. My question to you now is if that thing is as heavy as it looks? I lan a lot and I don't know if I want something that heavy being held on by the socket clips. Is it THAT heavy or am I just thinking it's heavier than it actually is?

yes, it is about a pound but it posses no threat. i lanned (is that a word?) with clip on slk800 all the time and it didnt even move out of place. slk800 weights almost the same as a slk900

It is a very heavy heatsink, although when you get it, it looks so small. You should make sure that the heatsink will be compatible with your mobo because of the amount of pace it takes up verticle wise. Large capacitors will get in its way. The 947U, although it requires the mounting holes, it has a different desing that helps against those large capacitors and the mounting holes it uses leaves the heatsink on very securely. Probably better for laning and big jolts.
