heatsink adequate for ti4200?

Is this heatsink adequate for cooling the ti4200?

Not without a fan on top of it. The TI4200 will get pretty toasty without a hsf combo and will probably crash without decent active cooling.

Edit: If that's the default cooling method for that TI4200 card, it's probably not a very good card or it will overheat easily.

Yah that just looks weird. I didn't know it was a TI4200 at first. I would bet it's a cheap card and you could probably do better. I've seen other cards with passive cooling that work great but that type of heatsink is not very good for gaming. If it's just browsing the web or navigating applications, you could find a cheaper card which will do the same thing.

That was the standard heatsink for the ti4200 or one that looks like it, it would have been adequate for the games it was able to play...

go for a NV Silencer, its cheap and quiet. make sure u buy the right version for 4200 models.

I have a Ti4200 sitting right next to me and its got a HSFU thats around the same size as a 9800pro and some ram sinks on it...
