Now that the rainy/winter days are here, my bedroom seems to be absorbing the cold temperature. Any suggestions on where I can get a heater blanket that will warm me up enough?

Be careful with sunbeam, they catch fire. I remember watching a show on this, think it was on "60 minutes" or some show like that.

That's probably the best way. I find it's hard to initially get in bed when it's really cold, but in no more then 5 minutes I'm warm. My cat also helps me stay warm by pushing herself against me as much as possible. Makes getting up in the morning that much harder. :p

Get a friendly cat. I go to sleep every night with cats on top of me.

we have a heated mattress pad that is 10X better than an electric blanket. heat is much more soothing and heats through your body from below making for a relaxing sleep.

Heated mattress pads ftmfw. Heat rises people. Why would anyone want an electric blanket these days?

We have a dual sided electric blanker we got from Wal mart. Each side has its own controls for the wife and I. If I remember, I turn mine on half an hour before bed and I turn it off as soon as I get in. I just use it to take the chill off but I'm naturally very warm.

My wife leaves hers on all night and loves it.

I used to love electric blankets...until I had one catch on fire in the middle of the night.

Fortunately, the first "poof" of flame woke me up and I was able to deal with it quickly.

It had gotten so hot that it melted the blanket, burned/scorched the sheets, and the mattress before actually starting a flame.

No more electric blankets for us.

i agree. i love heated mattress pads. we had one a few years ago but it quit working.

We had a heated blanket but one night im laying there and couldnt fall asleep and i notice blue stuff on the blanket. so i start watching it and the blanket is sparking or something.

we threw it out that day.
