most reviews shows that the Core 2 Duo is much ore cooler than their Pentium D counterparts........

But compare to X2, which would be much cooler & energy saver?????

Conroe IS quite a bit cooler running then Pentium D, but runs quite a bit hotter then an X2, especially when compared to the new low-wattage models.

Not true. Only seems to run hotter on ASUS boards, notably the P5B.

Conroe is the coolest now by far with motherboards with decent temp monitioring. (ASUS Conroe boards don't fall in this category right now although the chips are not actually overheating).

So by that you mean that conroe's temp is cooler than X2 or just on par with X2????
