I got an issue with heat right now. When i put full load on cpu i reach 64 c ( idle its 45c ) . Problem is , summer isnt even there yet and its still cool so i cant imagine what ill see when the hot days show up 🙁

Spec : Lian li v1100 case / p4 3.2 c with a zalman 7000 alcu running at max speed .

Should i change the Zalman ? Should i change those 120mm for better one ?
Im planning on adding an extra 120mm under cdrom so it create a better airflow over the cpu / rear exhaust .
Noise is important.

Any ideas or suggestion ?

All HD are sata , all ata are rounded cable ,theres nothing blocking the airflow of the cpu

At the moment i got 1 120mm for the hd , 1x120 on the rear

-P4c 3.2ghz
-Abit ic7-g max2
-2x 512 meg corsair
-1 WD raptor 36 gig
-2x 250 gig Seagate
-2xplexwritter 40x
-1 pionner dvd-rw
-ati radeon 9800 pro
-Lian li v1100
-antec neo power 480w

How open is the front of the case when the door is closed?
I cannot see the front vents.
Is the HD fan being blocked by the hard drives?

Have you considered a side thermal vent?
Does the manual for the case say anything using the interior zones for cooling?

ok lets say i change my front / rear 120 and add an extra 120 in front ; for exemple those nice panaflo 85.5CFM 35.5DBA. I still doubt ill get better temp.
I mean the ambiant temperature is gooing to raise with summer and cpu is already peaking at 64c .......

Btw i know a side fan would do the job but i didnt buy a v1100 quiet tower to blow a hole in it 😉
All i can hear right now are the 35dba 120mm that came with the tower .

so cut a hole in the side and drop on some blow holes in the top then you are sitting pretty you will have a good draft at all times..

I am running a P43.2@3.4 with a Zalman AlCu7000, and I peak at 50C, idle at 37C.
I applied AS5 on the Zalman. I believe that you need to consider re-applying the paste. Yours could have dried out.

A thermal vent does not have to start at a side fan. You can buy ducting kits that will route air from the front to the CPU.
