Heat police shootout - weapon question

Alright everyone remembers the shootout from Heat. What kind of an assault rifle was Al Pacino carrying? All the bad guys had M16's. Pacino had a totally different style assault rifle. I forgot if it was full auto (I can't remember) Anyone have any idea off the top of their head?

Ahh ok, thanks. I know it's just a movie but it piqued my curiousity when he head shotted Sizemore when he was holding that girl hostage. That scene was super intense. It's too bad the rest of the movie is pretty slow.

Yea you guys are right about the other weaps - I forgot Sizemore wasn't using the 16. And yea, they all had diff. weapons in the other scenes:
