Hi, I have both a be6 and now a new be6 II. I also have a PIII 700 FCPGA on a abit slot converter in the be6 and have tried a 600e in in it as well. The 600e is for the be6II.

When I try and boot with the 600e on my be6 II it comes up as a PIII 400e. Newest bios.

Any suggestions.

Sounds like it's booting up using a 66mhz FSB, rather than the default 100Mhz FSB for the 600e. Go into the BIOS and make sure that the FSB is set to 100Mhz.

Thanks for your help but I'm blind.

Ladies and Gentleman please place your dip switchs in an upright position before continuing with this stupidity.

I guess I didn't push them all the way to the 'no' position and it was just ignoring whatever I did in softmenu.

Any idea if the temp displays right on a BE6II, the temperature says its around 50C for my cpu but if I pull it out and touch it it doesn't feel very warm. The cooler I have is a Tennmax P3TF dual fan so it should keep it cool.
