Got a few Legendaries in my packs, maybe 3 or 4 of them. Got lots of dust in the process and sitting around 4k dust now and 2.1k gold.

I will craft 1 or two legendaries with the dust and a few cards I like.

I also LOVE the Murloc Knight...couple this with the Argent Protector and a few key murlocs sounds damn fun to play. Might try a Murlocadin soon.

One thing I noticed though, assuming the release brought out a lot of other part time players as in the low teens I was coming across people with gold portraits and decks loaded with the good legendaries wondering WTF they were doing ranked that low.

I'm having a horrid time since last week in the game...don't know why, can't go higher than Rank 14 and always drop to 16-17 in no time...I get stumped in the face and make me want to throw that effing Ipad in the river...

Lots of people came back for the new expansion. What you're seeing is a bloated ranked play. Think we'll have to wait for next month for the higher skilled players to move through the lower ranks.

In my pally inspire deck I was using 2 of those murloc knights. One game I had one other inspire minion out when I placed both murlocs then heroed. Game ended a turn later.

They need to hurry up and GTFO of our lowbie level so we can at least get to our level 15 prize.

Hahaha yeah, at least I managed to secure the level 13 chest, i'll give another try before the end of the month to try to get 11 or 12.

Had really bad luck on the tgt packs with only 3 legendaries from 130 packs. Kinda put me in a bad mood. Was prob gonna get to rank 5 (from 8) in a day or so but now I've dropped ranks trying out new decks. I think I'll just go for a higher rank next month...

Yeah these past months this game is making me want to quit every other game. I have a deck for each class and mosstly do quests to get my gold up but end up having to play 4-10 games to complete a "win 2 games" quest...

In my head I think i'm a Rank 5 player but in reality i'll have to settle to 14 😛

Why not just play new decks in Casual? I've mentioned this in other areas when people talk about losing with a new deck in ranked, and the response seems to be, "Well, I don't want to waste wins." However, it sounds like people tend to lose a hell of a lot more often than they win. 😛

...and it sounds like we need to make some "I spent $100 on TGT and all I got was this stupid Legendary" with a picture of something like the Skeleton Knight. 😛

Well, I have to say I am really liking "The Mistcaller" shaman legendary. I made a deck out of it and the return pandas, as well as a bunch of battlecry minions/battlecry bonus (there is one that give +1/1 for every battlecry played) and a couple spells. It has some weaknesses, especially on card draw, but once you make it to the turn 7-8, you start face stomping with the Mistcaller giving everything you play +1/1, or +2/2, or +3/3 (assuming you panda him back and play him again next turn, and those pandas start being real nasty, especially if you +1/1+taunt them, even better, taunt the panda and one of the minions that gets +1/1 on each battlecry and that minion will gain +2/2 because of the battlecry you played that taunted it). Oh you silenced it, no problem, panda and play it again...

Seems a lack of legendaries is more of the norm. Guess I should be happy with breaking a dozen golds on my 60. Of course the occasional I got 5-7 just makes you that much happier about your one.

Lol, totally forgot about losing stars when I was playing. Swapping between a couple different heroes/decks, and I noticed one time as the screen changed that my rank had gone down and was wondering what had happened.

Ugh... this Brawl has been terrible for me. I can only recall one instance where I made a misplay. In the other situations, I've gone up against good decks (3 Animuses... Animii? + Shade of Naxxramas) or had really terrible decks (2x Dust Devil vs. Mage). Just played Warrior... my initial hand? Varian Wrynn, Ysera and Dr. Boom. :|

Are the decks per class randomized each time? I really hope so, or it's a cruel joke played by Blizzard. Paladin deck, I play the new minion with battlecry = play one of each of your deck's secrets; only to find the deck had no secrets. I get things like Wailing Soul and Ice Rager against my opponent who had 5 legendaries out at once.

Hadn't played in a while, I really like being able to complete quests in these 'generalized' brawls. Makes some of them far more appealing.

They're randomized each time. I made the exact same play as well. A mistake because I should have noticed I'd drawn no spells at all until that point. Nearly lost me the game but I managed to stablize and win thanks to Hogger. I've only played that one game but I assume it's an all minion brawl.

I saw something on HearthPwn about there being a bug in the brawl causing there to be no spells in the randomized decks. I think it has been fixed.

I had spells yesterday in the brawl (was a mage and I had 3 ice lances, 1 sheep, 1 cone of ice, 1 pyroblast, 1 duplicate). It probably had more, but I won by round 9 (right after using a water elemental to freeze his 5/8 buffed something, hit it with an ice lance, hero powered to kill it and then played a minion that transformed my now 1 health freeze minion into a 5/6 hungry dragon)

Done about 5 brawls for lulz so far and only lost one. The decks being completely randomized when you pick your class to play this time is definitely different.

I am also liking the murloc knight in my paladin deck along with a couple of fencing coaches. Allowed me to get to rank 12 before finally calling it quits this season for the reward. It was just getting to the point all I was doing was winning 1 and losing 1 back and forth constantly for hours. Either I got the draw to win or didn't. Oh well, that is what this game is about.

I have a similar deck, love the Murloc Knight. Added a few other Murlocs in the deck to boost what I have. I removed Muster for Battle but added a Sword of Justice and another card I don't recall.

At first I had 2 Warhorse Trainers with my Muster for Battle but it's too combo dependant to be a sound strategy. When I could pull it off it was nice but otherwise a bit too slow.

My deck is pretty heavy in the 2 to 4 man cards, mid rangy and really fun. I'll try to post it soon when I get home.

I "borrowed" Trump's totem deck, and I've been trying that out a bit. My biggest complaint about it is that it's really just an aggro deck with a few cards that have totem-based synergy. Although, amusingly enough, even though it's an aggro deck, I beat a control Dragon Priest when we played to an empty deck. 😵 However, if the Priest didn't make a fatal mistake of ignoring my Flametongue Totem and going face, I probably would've lost. I mean... unless you have the win condition setup, who ignores something with high value like Flametongue Totem and goes face? 😛

Overall, I think my biggest problem with the deck might be that I have too much of a non-aggro mindset to be playing an aggro deck. I see it a lot when I watch others play (constructed or arena). I'll be thinking, "Okay, now we trade to help assume board control.... Oh, they just went face instead. Okay...."

Leveled my warrior to 60 playing Dragon Warrior yesterday. So much fun beating those face hunter decks. Now I've switched to playing shaman as well.

Priests have traditionally been the worst matchup for shamans. Thankfully it seems people have begun to remove shadow madness and cabal shadow priests from their deck lists, the two cards which absolutely reck shamans.
It's still favoured for priests, though I've managed to beat a few with my midrange shaman deck.

The strategy is to flood the board early, and using rockbiters as removal rather than burst. Haunted creepers are awesome by themselves but combined with flametongue totem they can win the game right there.

Healing wave is the healing spell shamans needed. The extra heal will rarely be needed against slow decks, and it's most likely to trigger against aggro decks.

Defender of argus really helps in face hunter matchups.
Piloted shredder is still the best 4 drop. Don't bother with totem carvers or fireguard destroyers.

Tuskarr totemic is an awesome card. It's a 3 mana 3/2. So basically you get a 1 mana hero power with a 2 drop, which is what shaman's hero power is worth. So the card is fine even if you get the worst totem. But incredible value most of the time. Make sure you position this card correctly.

Fire elementals, sylvanas and dr. boom are the big threats. Meanwhile earth shock x2, hex x2, BGH x1 really come in handy to remove.

Thunder bluff valiants serve as finishers.

Edit: Just took a look at trump's totem deck. It looks like he's running 2x azure drakes instead of 2x mana tide totems. 2x zombie chows instead of Big game hunter and sylvanas. Rest of the deck is identical.
Just goes to show, most decent decks look 99% same in this game. And also, it makes me happy with my deck building skills 😛

Well, somehow I got 2 old murk eyes... I can only use 1 in a deck, and I can't even dust the other because they are both soulbound somehow.

It's a common bug, happened to me at one point as well. Just goes away by itself. Really old but still not fixed.
