Unfortunately I have pretty much quit playing at this point. I play to do quests and too many people are aholes with emotes or letting the time run down just for kicks (even if they are winning). No way to get new cards if you don't play people, but people make the game a huge turn off.

Not sure how you can be an ahole with emotes? Just squelch?

I'm amazed at how many mages ow longer use arcane explosion. Running a lock with a bunch of low health mobs and blood imp to improve them. A simple explosion not only weakens my guys but kills the imp, but not once the last half a dozen play sessions have I come across a mage that used one.

I use it. I think I have the following spells:

2x arcane missles
2x frost bolts
2x arcane explosions
2x fireballs
2x blizzards
1x cone of cold
1x polymorph
2x flamestrike
2x arcane thoughts

That's 16 spells. The rest is minions.

2x kobold geomancers
2x ogre magi
2x dalran magus
2x arch magus


Those are my spell power cards. Really wish I had Malygos dragon, but I don't. That's 24 cards. Rest is filler that could be swapped around some. Here is what I current have.

2x gurabashi berserkers
1x gadgetzan auctioneer
1x chillwind yeti
2x sejuin whatever they are called (3/5 taunter card)

That's basically my mage deck that can blast damn near everything I've had it come across. The only times I lose with it are when I get all my high mana draw cards up front first and keep drawing them. I have a bunch of 4+ mana cards. I rely on the hero power to take out the initial minions the opponent hit the board with. If I start with an arcane missile and/or frostbolt from the get go to get me beyond the initial 5 rounds I don't lose. If I draw only higher casting cost cards and the opponent is playing a speed deck, I'll lose. I found though if I takeout my late game winning cards for more early power, I don't win nearly as often.

So if I get screwed on the draw, I only hope the other person lets me make to round 5 with over half my health. If I do, chances are I'll still win in the end. It's fun dropping a few +spell damage minions and then an arcane explosion to wipe the board of whatever the other player has and then keep it clear. Between blizzards, arcane explosions, and flamestrikes, the opponent usually can't keep a minion on the board late game. If they were able to deal enough damage early on and have either some good direct damage or high damage minions with charge, most opponents can't beat the deck late game.

Using "that was a mistake" but for your play is one example. It's pretty obvious when they're indicating it towards you based on timing.

Once I met this guy who pushed 'I'm sorry' over and over while intentionally not doing anything until the very last second (so called 'afk trick', hoping that the opponent would be impatient and concede, giving him a free win by being a jerk).

I was pissed when I realized what was happening, but fortunately I wasn't in a hurry (watching some recorded TV show in the background) so I just waited for my turn and played my cards patiently. By turn 4 or so he realized that I wasn't going to leave, so he started seriously playing his cards (and not give me an easy win) and stopped stalling. Right after he did that, I suddenly thought of this great idea (of course)! So when it's my turn, I played all my cards/attacks, pushed 'I'm sorry' a few times and just leave him hanging until the fuse timer goes out and he gets his turn. He ended up conceding and give me the win soon after :biggrin:

Whenever I run into someone who does that with the timer and it obviously still there I do it back to them. If I don't think they are there I speed play a round to see if he is really afk or not. Sometimes I have caught people like that and got an extra round in while they timed out, only to have them come back and go maybe 1 more round and then concede because they are so far down.

I also have not had any good luck with my purchased packs. I mostly get commons or other worthless cards. Have seen maybe 1 expert (useless to my hands so I scrapped it) and not a single legendary.

I once got a pack with 1 rare, 1 epic, 1 legendary; I've only gotten about 15-20 packs via play.

So they're out there, it's just random as fuck.

Yep, that's what they say. Usually I don't have the sound on when I play though. It's not like you need sound to play.

I always contemplate sticking in slight lower casting cost taunters... but they aren't anything more than a light speed bump. The bigger taunters just cost too much when I already have a bunch of 4+ casting cost cards in my deck. That 3/5 sejiun for 4 mana is about the best middle ground I can find. Nicer if it was 3 casting cost 🙂 They are a card that I hope takes 2 or 3 cards from the opponent to get rid of.

Lately though in ranked I've been running into a ton of try hard decks. Seems like every other card they play is a legendary. Sad really when I stomp those decks. Still, I've lost as well because if I get all my high casting cost cards right from the start, those decks can stomp pretty hard and pretty fast. Too bad I'm at work or I could list the cards I keep seeing in damn near every deck. I remember a few. First turn nat pagles are annoying as hell. The 4/5 bloodhoof that has a deathrattle that summons another 4/5 bloodhoof is also damn annoying since he's like 4 mana as well. I see him alot. The 3 casting cost monkey that's a 5/5 I think but gives the opponent 2 bananas as a battle cry (bananas are +1/+1 for 1 casting cost spells that you can apply to a minion) is also a pain to deal with if he's dropped 1st or second turn.

I run into ragnorok a bunch, and malygos too. A shaman or druid dropping Malygos early is effing retarded. Turns all those 1 damage for 1 casting cost cards into 7 damage spells for 1 is a massive pain. Had a shaman with 1 frost shocks, and 1 earth shocks in his hand and managed to drop malygos pretty early. Next turn it's 28 damage I couldn't stop 🙁

Those seem to be the more common ones I find in most of the try hard decks regardless of the deck type. I don't have any of those but I love beating those decks every time I can.

I have 3 legendaries. The mechanic gold guy you get from making any purchase for hearthstone. You get him automatically. He's "meh" for a legendary.

I got Tirion, the paladin specific legendary. He's only "ok" and wouldn't call him nearly as good as say Jaraxxus for the Warlock or Archimedes for the Mage.

I got the crappy dragon, Nozduru (sp?), that makes everyone's play timer set to 15 seconds. It's mostly a worthless legendary.

I have a bunch of crap rares and some decent ones. I have only 1 epic and it is that junk stone giant.

Like you I haven't been very lucky in my cards I've got from packs.

lol, every game the first thing i do is squelch the opponent. Hearing them say "well played" right before killing you makes me rage. I don't run into timer trolls that often.

First pack I got from just playing the tutorial and getting started I got Ysera lol and I knew it was a great card from watching lots of Day9 streams.

Since then I got some nice ones like Sylvanas and The Black Knight, crafted Ragnaros and Tirion.

I use well played the same as I use gg in starcraft. It's not an insult just "nice playing with you, later".

I think the odds for Legendary is 1 in about 10 packs. I got Jaraxxus as my first legendary on my 12th pack. I didn't play warlock but since then I got a quest for 5 warlock victories so I made a deck with him. Pretty strong. You have to kill him within 2 to 3 turns or things go downhill fast.

It doesn't make me rage really, I'd just rather not play with those types of people period. It's why I only play other games with people I know. The problem in Hearthstone is if you play a friend, you don't earn gold, which makes sense because I'm sure people would exploit that.

I've found 2 legendaries in packs so far and they were the same ones. The 2nd one was a gold version though which meant I can trade it for any other non-gold version legendary.
