Repeat brawl this week. All about RNG this one. At least it's good for finishing quests quickly.

Good nerfs mostly, a bit overkill on some like arcane golem. I can see why they nerfed blade flurry. Love the Juggler and Leper nerfs. Force of nature is garbage now. I don't know how big the ancient of lore nerf is, it seems to make the card useless to me. Sad to see that divine favour was untouched. No Alex nerf, no ice block change.. Freeze mage should be really strong.

I love the owl nerf. I almost always took the 4-3 instead, and now with the new mana cost that will probably be a universal shift for those wanting silence.

Druid in general will be so different now hard to say how it will end up.

Yea I think druid is in a bad spot if things stay as they are. Now druid has no good card draw, no burst at all, and the keeper of the Grove nerf is big as well. I guess druid will move in a ramp oriented direction.

I also like the owl nerf, esp. since I got a golden owl as my ranking reward just two months back.

I have 2x or more copies of all the announced nerfs. I also have extra golden copies of: keeper of the Grove, owl, Leper, and BGH. It's a decent amount of dust 🙂

Some interesting crying about the reveal.

Majority is RIP to several of the cards, mostly of the druid variety. Bunch of demands that blizz had better deliver with good rogue replacements now that they removed blade fury to prevent design hindrance.

Funniest though is all the tears about divine favor not being touched.

This is why I have been saying for months to not dust any duplicates of anything once they announced that there would be card changes. We might be able to begin dusting cards that are not going to be changed, but I would hold off until the patch is actually released as you never know if they will sneak in a few extras to quiet the complaints.

Also my druid has always been a ramp druid and worked in most cases aside from extreme rush facehunter or facethief (combined with bad card draw). I simply have a TON of taunts early game which force a lot of enemy minion deaths, but facehunter and facethief have a lot of early-mid removal spells as well which is why they can cause problems.

But mid-late game it simply takes complete control. Not sure how it will work now without using naxx etc....

Tavern Brawl I played wasn't fair. I played mage and got the minion that reduces spell cost by 1. Then I got Mana Wyrm the next turn. I converted all the cards to spells and used the spells I could cast to get the wrym to 10 by the next turn.

Juggler nerf was mostly useless. It's still auto-include in any rush deck.

I actually thought it was a good example of how cards need to be nerfed 🙂 . 1 dmg decrease is a pretty big change. Look at it this way, Juggler is the most dangerous when it is coined out and trades with cards like Northshire Cleric for free, and also because it can trade up with higher costed cards Shredder, Shade, etc. It can't do these things anymore without relying on good juggles. Also, remember that the cards that Juggler synergized with the most are leaving Standard: Spiders, Egg, Muster, Implosion, etc.

I like the direction the game takes and those nerfs are quite good imo. Keeper is still playable and a powerful tool, he's just not the 4HP body that was quite hard to deal with early in the game. It still retain it's usefulness so that's good.

The Owl was really needed and the nice thing now is it can be discovered with the Scarab. I don't really like the silence keyword but I also know it is important to have it to keep the game flowing.

Can't wait for Standard and see new unique decks instead of the same damn stuff every freaking game.

Oh and one fun card I played since that damnable Secret Pally came out, Kezan Mystic. It's so useful now against anything that rely on secrets. It's no auto-include but 1 Kezan in a deck can sometimes F the plans of those pesky secret classes.

Just dusted the nerfed cards for 8000+ dust. 🙂

Edit: Forgot to dust arcane golems x4 🙂 +400

This is the first time I've experienced this type of transition. Best to go ahead and dust down to 0 and ask questions later? I also have about 2k gold. Buy 20 classic packs and hope for some of these cards so I can dust them?

(With that said, I do have the pre-purchase 50x xpac plus I heard we can get 13 free this week)

13 free packs?!?!?!
EDIT: Oh yeah just saw that:
- 3 free packs for logging in the first week of the expansion
- 5 free packs when you win 2 games in Standard
- 5 free packs after you win 7 games total in Standard

I would dust the cards you will not use again, or just down to 1 offs (BGH). Spend the 2k gold on the new expansion packs. You'll get more value.

I decided to finally click the mass disenchant button. I now have 40000 dust. I've also bought the preorder. We can 13 packs for free and I can buy around 25 packs with gold. I think I'm good to go for this next expansion.

My TGT card collection is a bit lacking but most of those cards are pretty useless anyways.

New expansion is out... and it looks like 90% of players are now playing C'thun oriented decks.

imo, incredibly stupid decision to give the card to everyone because what's the point... every 2nd card people pull is to buff him then race to 10 mana to cast.

Pretty much. Most I've seen have been crap, except priest.

Opened about 50 packs, including the free ones.

3 legendaries (4 with C'Thun)
1 golden legendary
11 epics

bunch of other stuff.

Oddly, I received 6 Shifting Shades (rare) 3 regular, and 3 golden.

Been having really good luck with totem Shaman, only switched in Thing from Below and Flamewreathed Faceless. Works well.

Is anyone else having really bad lag problems? I can't edit some of my decks in My Collection and I can't even delete some of the starter decks. I also had a hell of a time opening some card packs as the game just refused to react when I clicked to turn a card. It didn't even put an outline around the card for me to turn it to begin with.

And most of those decks that I have run into aren't that good. I went to modify an old Priest deck, and essentially just filled in all the spots removed by the Standard change. It isn't that great of a deck... especially without a great answer to the removal of Zombie Chow, and it's even worse when you consider that I don't have the cards for Dragon Priest. Although, I still destroyed the Mage that played an unbuffed C'thun. 😵 Ended with nearly full health and didn't even play a card the first few turns.
