I emailed CoolerMaster to ask them if they plan on either:

A. Making the Aerogate II in BLACK
B. Offering interchangeable faceplates, ALA the new Superflower Fan Master

Then, I decided to go poking around on the Coolermasterusa.com site. I looked at the product description for the Aerogate II, then I followed a link to their forums and found the disgusting, heartbreaking news! (4th reply from the top) :Q Oh, the horror! :Q

So, I guess I either wait for the Aerogate III or find something else. I like the Digidoc 5+, BUT they did away with the useless 40mm fan and put in it's place even more useless USB/FW port. Plus, I don't think the DD5+ has the same features/quality as the Aerogate.

Damn, and I was doing SO well finding black-faced items to match my LianLi 65B.

Sign up in their forums (takes two seconds) and tell'em you want a black one, or whatever color you wish...

Yeah, that really sucks, especially since this is my first foray into "case personalization."

If done plenty of things like cutting out mesh fan grills and putting wire grills over them. I've even cut one blowhole...it wasn't pretty. :Q But just when I get into something and someone (mechBgon) shows me something that really catches my eye like the Aerogate II, I find out they don't make it in black.

Know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking that the acrylic front could be removed and then the aluminum plate behind it could be spray-painted black, if a guy were desperate enough. But as you might've seen, I put in my 2¢ worth in at their forum... if they want my money, they gonna earn it!

I agree that it's probably not that difficult to remove the acrylic front and spray the bezel...but who wants to pay $$$ for something just to take it apart? For $50, they should make it in designer Fuscia, too.

I see that most other manufacturers make their products in Silver, Black and Beige; those three colors are good for 99% of the users out there.

LOL, if you are willing to cut holes in an aluminum case you paid money for, I'd think painting something should be little issue.

I do, however, agree. Black is the premium color of choice.

SVC doesn't have the black one yet, but I see them in-stock at some other stores now, beatle, here's one: FrozenCPU Newegg lists the black one as well, at $39 + $6 s/h but while the description says "BLACK," the photo is of a silver one. Still, I'd tend to believe the description.
