heart rate monitor

Ok so im incorporating cardio into my weight training more and wanted to get a heart rate monitor.

I wanted to get one with memory type function that would save my highest or lowest over a period of time also. any suggestions?

get Polar brand
i can't recommend a particular model, but i know all the stairmaster step/bikes recognize a polar monitor remotely and display it on their display at the gym

I have a Polar HR monitor for my cycling. It has cadence too which I like. Both my road bikes have Polar computers and I am fairly happy with them. The chest strap has been giving me problems lately but it may just need a new battery.
