Anyone familiar with the Healthy Start program (for pregnant women and newborns)?
From the description, this seems like a program geared towards families with a high chance of "poor pregnancy" outcome due to conditions such as social situations, income, etc.
I'm just curious because before getting discharged at the hospital. The Healthy Start lady insisted that the forms be filled out before leaving even though the wifey asked to review it later. I wasn't there, but the wifey answered the questions and the lady filled out the forms. She only realized today that we were referred to the program even though we do not meet any of the criteria. For example, she checked that our newborn was on a ventilator, which is definitely not true.
I'm starting to think that they try to enroll as many people into the program just to get money. It looks like this program is funded by tax revenues.
