Healthy Snacks

When I'm on extended business trips, ie 2 weeks+ away from home, I get to apartment/hotel from a long day's work and don't really want to cook just for myself and I don't have appetite to go for a dinner. Dinners outside usually are too heavy for me.

I end up just grabbing a snack or a fruit.

Any healthy 'snack' ideas?

I usually go for an apple or banana, granola bars, or a small bag of beef jerky (peppered of course).

salad, fruits, whole grains are pretty good without giving you "food coma" afterwards.

How about a salad? You can get a bag of lettuce and some dressing for a few bucks. Depending on your appetite, this will last for a few days. You can also put some nuts, fruit, etc. on the salad if you want.

I did salad for 4 straight nights.

In the beginning it was good...but at the end of the week it got old fast.

I guess I need new 'dinner' ideas.

I may need to check out the Lean Cuisine microwaveables.

Salads, granola bar, a banana, yogurt. Would be an awesome light dinner.

Lunchmeat and cheese on a tortilla or crackers instead of bread
