Healthy Eating

You generally want to eat the most for breakfast and lunch, and cut down for dinner. A lot depends on how much weight you're trying to lose, what you usually eat, how much you weigh, if you're working out, etc.

But a sandwich or two (no mayo) and maybe a soup or salad should be alright. Just stay away from coke and juice (stick to water, crystal light, and things like that) and you'll be fine.

Yea, I exercise everyday and do alot of cardio. I drink water mostly, and for lunch I was thinking a Salad with fat free dressing and some cut up grilled chicken.

No, there ARE NO CALORIES OR SUGAR in diet sodas. I'm not saying that they're healthy for you, but what you are saying is incorrect.

My usual lunch consists of:

Tuna sandwich with whole wheat bread
Green beans
Apple or yogurt
Diet Dr. Pepper

[Edit] I agree with CRT....I thought artificial sweetners are used in diet drinks, so there zero grams of sugar.

Yeah...you need to go back to school and learn how to read labels.

Diet Sodas use artificial sweetners.....not Sugar.

Sorry, I was told bad info. So what should I eat at Lunch and what should my little meals consist of ? I don't have access to all the food because I am at school most of the day so what should I pack?

I was thinking of this, one day I have a tuna sandwich on wheat bread with a small salad, and the next day I have a salad with grilled chicken and fat free dressing?

Sounds good to me for beginners.

Just TRY to get Romaine Lettuce, or something like that. The Iceberg has absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever.

What do You eat Nutdotnet?

I eat what I listed above, plus other stuff, most notably a LITTLE mayo with the tuna and other conidments...

Oh yeah, OATMEAL is great for you.

Basically, you want to eat good fats and good carbs. Eat all the protein you want. So Apples, Pears, 100% Wheat Bread, Oatmeal, Brown Rice, and Sweet Potatoes are great sources of carbs.

Peanuts, All-Natural Peanut Butter, Olive Oil, Fish Oil Caps, Flax Seed Oil, Salmon are all great sources of fats.

Tuna, Chicken, Turkey, Salmon, Halibut, Lean Cuts of Beef are all great sources of protein.

If that is your idea of a diet I would hate to see what you normally eat.

lean chicken or turkey, green veggies and either a potato or some whole grain bread, and lots of water.

I'm leaning down now in an attempt to rehab my abdomen so today I ate

fat free cottage cheese mixed with a couple spoons of applesauce

2 bbq pork tips

small serving of roasted chicken, mushrooms, onions, red peppers and small red potato

lots of water...before bed I'll have more cottage cheese.

Diet Soda contains ASPARTAME which is really bad for you. Just type "aspartame poisoning" into google and read all about it.
