Home cooked chinese is the best, unless you can find a rare traditional chinese style restaurant these days.

If you really want healthy order some herbal chicken or been stew...it'll taste like tree barks, but I hear they do wonders for your sex life 😉 And...after you've become adjusted to the taste, you'll actually like it. 😉

Chinese food made for Americans are often large in portion and oily, that's why they're not healthy, because it's the secret Chinese conspiracy to make Americans fat and lazy muahahaha 😛

one way to tell is if the menu is written in Chinese with english translation, if the other way around, it's americanized. However, this is not always the case, because it may still be americanized if the menu has english subs. You really can't tell unless you have a friend that knows better 🙂

eh, places that have fried rice and sweet and sour pork at the top of their menus aren't real chinese restaurants..

that being said there are many different kinds... different areas of china/taiwan = different chinese food. just as different areas of other countries. eh, maybe smeone else has some online resources for u.

Oh no let's not get into that "but it's not authentic" argument like the Italian foods... if I like take-out chinese, then that's the taste I like... not the authentic stuff that I eat at home from time to time.
